The Last Stuntman
An aging drifter with a violent past becomes the only thing standing between a corrupt developer's hit squad and the fatherless thirteen-year-old girl and stray cat he refuses to let them touch.
Written by Matthias Hues and Leslie Carleton
Synopsis
Max is an aging drifter with a rescued kitten, a violent past he doesn't talk about, and no reason to get involved when a corrupt developer's crew starts emptying out a run-down high-rise by force. When the crew murders an elderly tenant and the nurse trying to protect him, and a tough, parentless thirteen-year-old named Joyce ends up alone in the building, Max stops being a bystander. What follows is a one-man war against a real-estate empire built on bodies — Max working his way up through the developer's hired muscle while trying to keep Joyce and her cat out of the crossfire, and the people hunting him beginning to realize exactly who they picked a fight with. The Last Stuntman is a bruising, funny, big-hearted action picture about the fight left in a man everyone assumes is finished — and the family he never asked for that he ends up choosing anyway.
