Synopsis
Sarah Stone is a celebrated children's book author with a doting husband and no memory of the woman she becomes when a stranger flicks open a lighter and hands her a cigarette. When an anonymous caller tells her husband Alexander that his wife is a whore and to meet her usual contact, he chases her through Berlin's red-light district and into a brothel — only to find a woman calling herself Sarah who isn't the woman he married at all. What he doesn't know is that his wife has spent her whole adult life as two people: the writer he fell in love with, and an operative activated by a trigger buried in her mind since she was taken from an orphanage as a child. By the time Alexander catches up to the truth, his wife is already gone — settling a score with a black-market intelligence broker, fighting for her life on the Autobahn, and remembering a father who taught her to kill "for the greater good." And somewhere else, another little girl is about to hear the same lighter click open.
